Minorities in Vietnam – the Hmong
Minorities in Vietnam – the Hmong

The Ho Chunk Nation celebrating Memorial Day of 2010 in Black River Falls, WI. It was a wonderful pow wow. Most of the Ho Chunk citizens were in their traditional customs. The music was great, so as the dancers. There were too many people so we could not find a spot to sit. We stood up the whole time. This was my first real pow wow experience, so as my wife and her little sister. All I have to say is that the Ho Chunk people have an amazing culture. I saw two things in these people: uniqueness and unity. They should be proud of who they are. Hopefully next year, every Ho Chunk citizen would wear their traditional custom for this special occasion. When we outsiders listen to their original songs and see their original dances, we want to see their original customs as well. Songs, dances, and traditional customs are what make a culture unique. I will revisit the pow wow next year for sure. There are many things the world can learn from the varies Native American cultures.

One thing is that unity strives over separation.
