The FNX | First Nations Experience television network is proud to announce it’s now on-air with WYCC PBS Chicago! “FNX is thrilled to now be in the Chicago market,” said KVCR/FNX General Manager Alfredo Cruz. “FNX is one of today’s most exciting public media programming developments,” he added. On the importance of FNX, Cruz said, “Equitable representation of our communities in mass media is long over-due and we are privileged to have an entire channel, programming 24/7, completely dedicated to celebrating Native American life and experiences.” He added, “I know you’ll enjoy FNX and ask that you please help us spread the word.” The FNX channel will now be available to viewers on WYCC’s channel 20.2. FNX illustrates the healthy, positive, and real lives and cultures of Native American and indigenous people around the world.

Programming includes TV series, documentaries, short films, PSAs, and films in the categories of lifestyle, children’s, drama, comedy, sports, music, art, dance, politics, news, social, cooking, health, animation, fitness, talk shows, nature, and gardening. All programs reflecting a true voice of Native American and Indigenous communities across the globe. “WYCC PBS Chicago is proud to offer our viewers a network with great programming about Native American and indigenous cultures. FNX extends the mission of WYCC to provide diverse, educational, engaging, television programming to Chicago area communities”, said Paul Buckner, General Manager WYCC PBS Chicago. The FNX channel was created at KVCR Public Television through a grant from founding partners, the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, both located in San Bernardino, Calif.
